SUSTAINABLE FASHION - TIMELESS DESIGN
Anna Ruohonen concept store in Helsinki was established in April 2009. The store offers long-life design clothes for people that value personality, perfect fit and timeless fashion. The customer is able to shop Anna Ruohonen design clothes with individual measures and preferences; there are some fabric and color options available for personalization. In addition, some modular pattern pieces for example sleeves with different lengths can be added to the design. Therefore, Anna’s collections are based on modular blocks. The best designs are evolutions of earlier designs and some of the most favourite models are 10 years “old”.
The co-creation process starts with fitting the sample of desired model. The standard sizes are 36-46 and XS-XXL (French measures). If the size nearest the best fit is not found the body measures are taken. After a discussion and thorough fitting with the help of store’s professional personnel customer data is send to Anna Ruohonen atelier in Paris where the apparels are produced.
The private clients together with the retailers are invited to special fashion shows called Salon Shows which are held in Paris and in Helsinki twice a year, 6 months before the actual season. The delivery time for the Salon orders is 6 months and the garments are made together with the retail orders. At the shop the on-going season designs are delivered in 3 weeks. The personalized design clothes are picked up from the store or send to the customer directly home.
